Too many people equate ego to self-esteem. Honestly, you sound a lot like me, shitloads of ego, but no real self-esteem.

First off, fighting ain’t “unlady-like”, it’s human. We all do it to some extent, anyone who would never throw a punch is a fucking coward. The fact that we all tend to find fighting easier when boozed up is a personal issue but what you need to understand is that booze does not make a person violent, it merely removes inhibitions.

The deeper issue is why you find offense from compliments. That’s where the self-esteem comes in. You are probably < 30. At any rate, if you are unhappy with who you are, change it. Otherwise, who gives a shit what others think ?
